Njabulo is a commercially-astute and customer-focused governance, risk, and compliance practitioner with 13+ years’ international experience in both the public and private sectors across various industries, mainly banking, insurance, and pension & asset management. In his current role, he is responsible for driving business strategy by using regulatory compliance as a competitive advantage. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in designing and driving governance, risk, and compliance solutions, as well as improving regulatory and supervisory processes. He holds a Bachelors' Degree in International Finance, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law, a Post Graduate Diploma in Risk as well as Executive Programme in Advanced Strategic Management. He is a Certified Compliance & Risk Management Practitioner by the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa (CISA) as well as Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA). Njabulo has a strong background in advising global financial institutions on operating procedures and business practices in strict compliance with regulatory standards as well as in interacting and building relationships with various key regulatory authorities across the globe. His progressive leadership experiences moulded through practical experiences have created a passion for looking at future governance, risk, and compliance needs, in order to design solutions that will be robust for external customers. His ability to blend policy instruments and guide business critical customer facing and regulatory interaction processes have added a lot of value in my various roles.
